With Love Island back on our screens (almost every night and consuming our lives) and the promise of a long summer ahead, it’s hard not to dream of a beautiful, relaxing trip of our own. A few months ago luxury holiday brand Simpson Travel picked my blog post Booking The Perfect Family Holiday as the winner of their blogger ambassadorship competition, giving me the chance to work with them for a year and pick a family holiday from their stunning website. Travelling is a massive passion of mine, so as you can imagine I was beyond excited when I got the call from the team at Simpson Travel.
Since then I’ve been into their head office in West London to meet the team and discuss how we can work together over the coming year. We also discussed different options for our upcoming trip - but the final decision was all ours. The moment I started looking at the different choices on the Simpson Travel website, I knew that while it would be a difficult decision (as they’re all so gorgeous), I also knew that we were guaranteed a beautiful, memorable holiday.
As we have two girls in school, we will have to travel during the summer holidays, which can be difficult as it’s peak season (and these dates get booked up fast) but Dylan from Simpson Travel’s customer support team was on hand to help and give us lots of advice. The next question was, were do we want to go? Simpson Travel focus on Mediterranean countries and islands, including; France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Corsica and Mallorca. Obviously, I investigated all options and read as much as I could on all the areas they had to offer. Having narrowed the search to Italy, Greece and Turkey, I started to think about the kind of villa we wanted.

- Luxury Modern Accommodation
- A Nearby Beach
- Beautiful Scenery/ View
- Our Own Swimming Pool (preferably an infinity pool, because I have a slight obsession!)
- Delicious Food
- Not Too Touristy / Authentic Charm
After spending hours studying the website and flicking through the image galleries, we narrowed it down to the following four villas… (all of which are stunning and to be honest I would have been happy to go with any of them!)

This one had me at infinity pool! And look at that view over the bay. I also loved the clean modern feel of this three bed villa.

This is a beautiful big property with amazing panoramic views over Kalkan bay and yes, there’s another (even more dramatic) infinity pool. I told you I was obsessed!
Villa Akoni, Meganissi, Greece

I loved the modern charm of this property, it’s new but has an authentic greek feel. Again, it has a beautiful pool for the kids and a fantastic view.

The kids were especially taken by the size of this pool and I loved the generous size of the property and its very instagramable courtyard.
As you can see all the villas fit the brief, so which one should we choose? Which one would you pick? And why? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Wow how will you ever pick out of these? I am jealous take me with you. We love to travel but half the time spend it seeing family in america in the woods or family in ireland in the woods. I am desperate for a beach holiday where we have our own pool and villa. These are all amazing. I haven’t traveled with them before might have to check them out for next year’s big family travel. Congrats on winning again that’s amazing.
Wow, they are all so gorgeous, you’re spoilt for choice. I think my favourite is the Turkey one, the views are stunning from the lounge and pool area (although they are for all of them). xx

We are always looking for new places to try and I’ve always wanted to go to Greece too. These villas look incredible Heledd! I think I would choose Greece. Which are you going for?
They all look beautiful! I’ve never swum in an infinity pool before either - something I would love to do. I don’t think I’d be able to choose! I’m sure you’ll have an incredible time wherever you go.
