It really is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas and I’m literally getting carried away by the whole thing this year… from the tree to the food, cards, presents, even the dining table decorations. I’ve never really been too bothered about the dining table before but something’s happened this year and I’m now getting a little obsessed by all the different styles and options out there.
This new found obsession could be because I’ve recently been focusing my efforts and research on decorating our dining room. I’ve been looking at different dining room ideas and trying to come up with the perfect style for our home and family needs. It’s one of the last rooms in the house to be done and I feel like I’ve been waiting a long time to get this room done.
Here are just a few more of my favourite festive styles, in case you need some inspiration for the big day - from my Pinterest feed…

I’m always taken in by ‘The White Company’s’ Christmas campaign shots and this year is no different! How beautiful is this dining table design? I wish I could live in a while company house! I do love colour but there’s something so beautifully simple and stylish about a simple white décor.
Living just outside London, I feel so blessed and lucky to have a place to escape to every Christmas. For me, that’s not Thailand or sunny Dubai (although, I’m sure they would be very nice!!), it’s my childhood home, five hours west of the city in rural west Wales. We go every year to spend the festive season with my parents in Cardigan Bay.
On the big day our table in Wales will be set for six adults and two little ones. We usually go for something traditional, elegant and simple. My parents have a large wooden rustic dining table (in the middle of their massive kitchen) that fits us all round with plenty of space. The colour theme will be silver and white with two twinkling antique iron-and-crystal chandeliers adding sparkle to the otherwise simple set. Dashes of rich colour will come from vintage style silver glasses (left over from our wedding day) filled with tea-lights and small pillar candles.
How will you decorate your table this year?

Decorating the Christmas table in theme is such a nice way to elevate the meal to the importance it deserves. It seems a little bit strange to prepare the most important meal of the year (for my family at least!) and then serve it up on your everyday tableware etc. My family doesn’t go too over the top, but we use the family silver and good dinner set, we have napkins and Christmas crackers. Your table setting sounds gorgeous.
I would love to say that my table will look like one of these but it will inevitably be covered in santa crackers and paper hats!! These look beautiful.
Oh I love these and want them too! Love a festive and beautiful looking table
Ours starts off looking superb and then ends up in wine and food! Sign of a great party
Lovely post and have a fab xmas xx
