My girls love milkshakes and other milky drinks but I’ve always avoided them as much as possible due to their high sugar content. I’d only really offer them to the girls on special occasions as a rare treat. However, Yazoo (the flavoured milk brand) have just launched a new option with absolutely no added sugar or artificial sweeteners, flavours or colourings.
Lili and I went to the Yazoo No Added Sugar launch event the other weekend, where we got the chance to try all three flavours; strawberry, toffee and banana. It was a fun, relaxed event where we met new and old friends from the vlogging and blogging community, and Lili got the chance to get crafty making all sorts of Yazoo themed models.
For me this new drink is a game changer! All of a sudden what used to be a special treat is now a healthy option packed full of vitamin B2, protein and of course calcium. With this new variety, Yazoo have created a nutritious drink, that’s ideal for children – and only contains sugars you’d naturally find in milk and no artificial nasties. It’s also low in fat and a perfect after school snack to keep the kids going until dinnertime.
My girls love the Strawberry flavour and I must admit that I’m a big fan of the Toffee flavour. Lili is also hoping they bring out a chocolate version very soon!
The 200ml bottles are the perfect size for an after school ‘pick-me-up’ and at 50p, they really are an affordable and healthy option.
