The Power of Q10 – My Vitamin Boost

vitamins2

Do you take vitamin supplements? If you do (or did), what do (would) you want them to do for you? Increase your immune system? Maybe give you more energy or stronger, healthier hair and nails?

I’ve recently started a ‘vitamin boost’ by taking Bio-Quinone Q10 which is great for building up your energy levels.

Q10 Ubiquinone

Some science
All of our cells need Q10 to make energy but our body’s ability to create this decreases after our mid-twenties. Ten years on from my mid-twenties, I really need some help!

Pharma Nord sent me some of these tablets to test. They were the first company to bring Q10 supplements to Europe over 25 years ago. All of their products are manufactured in Denmark where regulations are extremely tight. All of their products are designed so that the active ingredients can be easily absorbed by our bodies.

Each tablet is individually packed in a blister pack as Pharma Nord don’t agree with vitamins being packed in jars – “as they are easily degraded by the atmosphere!”

Having taken these tablets for the past few weeks, I can tell you that I have felt more awake and much less lethargic. Usually by eight o’clock I’m shattered and ready to fall asleep on the sofa but since taking these vitamins I’ve felt much better.

Do you fancy giving these little energy beans a try? Pharma Nord currently have a special offer ‘starter pack’ available for £4.65 (usual price £14.65).

BIOmega 3 for kids

I was also sent some BIOmega 3 for kids, which have a lemon flavour and no fishy taste. The oil is from the flesh of the fish, so is of the best possible quality. These yellow capsules can be chewed or broken so that the liquid can be taken on a spoon, which is of course perfect for kids. Lets face it, they  just don’t like taking tablets of any sort! Even when they look like little sweets, like these. However, with some persuasion I’ve managed to get Lili to take these, my hope is that it helps her with her concentration and development at school.

These vitamin sets were sent to me by Pharma Nord but the copy and opinions are my own and true.

I’m always forgetting to take my vitamins it’s so bad, I only take them if I’ve left them out of the cupboard to remind me! I take multi vits and Berocca when I need a boost. I might invest in these kids omega 3 ones as my son really struggles to concentrate! X

    Hey Heledd,

Great post on the benefits of Q10, it truly is a great booster for the old energy levels!

Have you tried supplementing with Beetroot extracts too? I’ve been reading a lot about the energy boosting/preserving qualities of it of late. Apparently it’s one of the best kept secrets in the athletics world. With the run around my kids give me it’s essential! Hahaha

    Hope this helps :)
