Five things I’m Loving This Week 12/11

It’s Monday morning and the sun is shining, I’m sat in our new kitchen and the garden is a glow from all the colours of Autumn… seriously what’s not to love? I’m feeling very happy and contented but I do have that niggling feeling of guilt. I’ve basically neglected this little cypher space  of mine over the last few months, which has mainly been down to the fact that I’ve been completely distracted by our house renovation. However, with the end in sight (although we still have so much decorating to do) I’m looking forward to dedicating more time to my blog and sharing all our ‘before and after’ shots.

In the meantime here are five things I’m loving this week…

1. Milk & Cookies Granola from Marks & Spencer

I feel like the name says it all really, if (like me) you have a sweet tooth in the morning, you’ll love this limited edition festive granola. I think I’m going to have to stock up on this one because it’s way too good to only enjoy for a few months!! In fact, I may start a petition to make it a permanent product.

2. The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix

This is very spooky, so if you’re easily scared this is not for you. However, I’m partial to a good old fashion horror story – and that is exactly what this is. There’s no gory scenes, it’s all suggested and just a little unsettling but I love it!

3. My new Sophie Conran for Portmeirion Dinnerware Set

Oh I’ve wanted this set for a long, long time! It looks perfect in our new kitchen and I just can’t wait to start using it. I love its classic, elegant design and I know I’ll keep collecting bits for it for many years to come.

4. Paint shopping with Valspar

Picking the perfect paint colour used to be such a chore! You’d know exactly what you wanted but finding that exact shade would be almost impossible. Not anymore! Valspar, (which is exclusive to B&Q) will colour match any shade you like. They’re brilliant, you can bring in any tile, wallpaper swatch, shoe, dress… you name it and they’ll colour match the item and mix up the paint for you there and then. How cool is that?  They also have a fantastic amount of shades for you to choose from, which is great if (again, like me) you need some colour inspiration.

5. New Clarins Skin Illusion Foundation SPF15

This is simply a gorgeous new foundation that leaves your skin glowing with health, velvety smooth finish. It’s also beautifully hydrating, which gives an immediate fresh appearance without masking your skin. I wear shade 9 which is a great medium/ light option.

What are you loving this week?

OH SOOO JELLY!!!!!!!! I’ve coveted that Sophie Conran dinnerware set for so long H!! I treated myself to the salad bowl a few years back but keep looking at the dinner service and wishing I could justify buying it, when we already have a perfectly serviceable set already!! Loving the look of that granola too — that wouldn’t last 5 minutes in our house — I blooming love the stuff!!

Love the idea of festive granola! Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and I LOVE granola. Trying to get my girls to enjoy it but so far they’re not keen – this one might just convince them though I think.

Well it does have chocolate pieces and cookie bits so if this doesn’t do it, nothing will ; )

Love the look of that foundation Heledd. I’ve not managed to start on the Haunting of Hill House yet but keep catching it on Googlebox and wanting to watch! Love the look of that dinner set too – gorgeous and so versatile 🙂 xx

You must watch it!!! It’s such a great story with lots of twists and turns in every episode. I haven’t seen them watching it on Gogglebox yet, I must go back to watch that.

I have the festive granola and love it too. Although I like the idea of adding a bit of fruit too. I’ve had mine with yoghurt and love it that way more so than with milk. Yay for your house coming along, I know how stressful renovating and decorating is. So time consuming too x

Honestly KA I feel like it will never, ever end!! We’ll be painting for the next few months that’s for sure. I do love this house of ours though, so I know it will be more than worth it in the end. Oooh yes some strawberries and yogurt with that granola is AMAZING!!! xx
