Welcome to June’s Five Things I’m Loving Lately. Oh my goodness, it’s the middle of June and I really don’t know where this year’s going? We’ve been super busy with the house lately but to be honest it doesn’t look like much has changed. Mainly because we’ve had to spend (so much) money on boring things like the garden fence and re-plastering the hall, neither of which are very exciting. Hopefully we can now focus on the fun things like painting and carpeting.
So that being said, let me tell you what five things I’m loving lately…
1.Big Little Lies (Season 2) is back on our (Sky and NOW TV) screens and everything I loved about season two is definitely still there. It’s glossy but somehow gritty and real at the same time. With a cast lineup that includes; Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Meryl Streep and Laura Dern, they can’t really go wrong can they?
2. These pretty new nail colours from Jessica bring me so much joy! The vibrant neutral tones including; Sweet Kiss, You Make Me Blush and Chocolate Bronze are simply perfect and right up my street. When it comes to nail colour you really can’t go wrong with Jessica, they’re easily one of the best brands on the market for durability and fabulous colours – especially when paired with their ‘sticky’ base coat and glossy top coat.
3. I’ve already written a post on Beauty Pie (here) but honestly I need to mention them again because I’m getting obsessed. Each and every product I’ve tried has been incredible, to the point that I’m regularly having to bump up my monthly spend limit in order to get all my favourites stocked up. 4. As you may already know, I do I love a good cleanser! Nothing makes me happier (in the beauty arena) than finding a good cleanser that ticks all my boxes – and this new Pixi Beauty Rose Cleanser gives me all happy feels! It smells incredible, has a beautifully creamy texture and leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and super clean. Love it!
5. Watching Queer Eye (Netflix) with my two big girls. We’ve been obsessively watching every episode over the past couple of months and have loved every dramatic transformation. I think this might be the first ‘aimed at adults’ program we’ve ever watched together. When I say it’s ‘aimed for adults’, I just mean that it’s not a children’s program – not that it’s in anyway inappropriate for kids to watch (obviously!). Yes, it has brought up a few interesting questions but nothing I wasn’t happy to discuss with them. We love the fab five!!
