A Festive Afternoon Tea {My Captured Moment #101}

It’s that time of year! We have a few festive treats coming up over the next week or so and it all started last weekend with a very festive afternoon tea with Santa at our local Garden Centre. Is it me or have garden centres come a long way in the past few years? I don’t remember them being such a destination when I was little, do you? I mean these days you can spend half a day wondering around the centre including; the gift shop, soft play, restaurant and so much more.

We literally spent hours at Wyevale Garden Centre on Saturday where we were booked in for afternoon tea with Santa. For £9.99 per child and £7.99 per adult, we were given afternoon tea and a cute picnic for the kids. While we ate our mid-afternoon feast Santa came round to chat to the kids and then invited them pick a gift from a cart full of different toys and crafts. Lili chose a soft toy and Poppy chose a mermaid doll, which has become her favourite bath toy. The quality of the toys on offer were great and much more than I had expected.

After saying goodbye to Santa the girls played in the soft play area while I wondered around the Christmas decorations and lights, which were quite magical. Here are some of my favourite shots from our very festive afternoon tea…

Share your Moments

Your ‘My Captured Moment’ can be a single picture or a series of shots, new (taken this week) or old, with or without words. The idea is to simply share a moment in time you’ve captured on your camera and make sure it doesn’t go unseen. This could include vintage shots of your own childhood and beyond or a simple picture you’ve recently taken and want to ‘show off’.

    It looks like a great event Heledd. I love the girl’s jumpers and Iris looks bemused at the big man in the red suit. A great captured moment. Thank you for hosting and have a lovely day xx

    I’m with Lisa I really love the girls Christmas jumpers too. I love getting involved in craft out of the house with the kids as I’m terrible when they do it at home!
