Yes, it’s official my baby is now sitting up by herself. She’s been trying for a few weeks but over the past few days she’s got a lot stronger and less wobbly. She’s also very keen to get mobile, I can see the look of determination on her face as her arms reach out to touch the floor.
Where did my tinny newborn baby go? I was so ready to take in and savour every minute of this little one, our last baby. I promised myself that I would cherish every cuddle and mentally record every slight development. But it doesn’t matter how much I document and cherish, I can’t slow down time and this little one is growing with every passing day. She’s now over six months old and quickly growing out of her clothes. We’re on to size 4 nappies and just starting the weaning journey.
I know I’ve said it a few times… Iris is by far the happiest of my three babies, she’s always smiling and giggling. She even wakes up happy, something she definitely does not get from me! I’m awful in the mornings. Although, waking up to her little face and big, excited smile makes things a lot easier.
This time last year I was getting ready to share the news that we would be welcoming a new baby into the family. A year on and she’s with us, making us forget what life was like before she arrived. Like she was always meant to be.
So here she is at six months, sitting up…
Share your Moments
Your ‘My Captured Moment’ can be a single picture or a series of shots, new (taken this week) or old, with or without words. The idea is to simply share a moment in time you’ve captured on your camera and make sure it doesn’t go unseen. This could include vintage shots of your own childhood and beyond or a simple picture you’ve recently taken and want to ‘show off’.
