I’ve had this post ready for a ‘My Captured Moment’ feature since these pictures were taken back in August. The kids and I had been in Wales without Dom for a week before he joined us for the last few days of our holiday. On his first day he had to do some work but once he’s finished we all got into the car and headed to the coast for supper.
The nearest seaside town to my parent’s house is Aberaeron and it’s just beautiful, especially in the summer. It also has some lovely places to eat. That evening we walked along the pier, ate fish and chips outside at Hive on the Quay and had the famous honey ice-cream for pudding.
It was one of those nights that just stays with you. Nothing extraordinary happened but we were all together for the first time in over a week, the weather was beautiful and we had some really delicious food. It also helps that the girls were all in a good mood and it simply felt like a really lovely family night out. Also, Aberareon is so beautiful and one of my favourite places to visit when we’re home in West Wales.
Share your Moments
Your ‘My Captured Moment’ can be a single picture or a series of shots, new (taken this week) or old, with or without words. The idea is to simply share a moment in time you’ve captured on your camera and make sure it doesn’t go unseen. This could include vintage shots of your own childhood and beyond or a simple picture you’ve recently taken and want to ‘show off’.

Oh gorgeous pictures Heledd, it looks like the girls have really enjoyed the ice cream, especially Poppy. These are my favourite sort of times too when nothing much happens but everyone is happy. Is Aberaeron where you can see Dolphins from the harbour? Thank you for hosting and have a lovely day xx
Aberaeron looks lovely! We are thinking of going to Wales next year for our holidays. It looks beautiful and by then we will have a 5 or 6 months old baby and I don’t think I would be brave enough to travel too far with her. xx
Love these photos and sounds like a wonderful family day. I love days like this, ones you can look back on and smile xx
I love the light in that first and last photo. Such gorgeous captures and lovely to look back on. x x
